Corporate Safety Manager

With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Eric is certified as a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) and OSHA 500 Outreach Authorized Trainer. Eric leads and enforces Phelps Construction Group’s health and safety programs and serves as a resource to educate trades people regarding various safety hazards. Throughout a given day, Eric visits numerous construction sites to observe work site safety practices, enforce our health and safety program and OSHA regulations. Eric creates site-specific safety plans, writes and implements task specific risk assessments, and performs weekly audits. Additionally, the corporate safety manager leads Phelps Construction Group’s internal Safety Committee. Some of the most notable projects Eric has overseen safety at include the construction of a 780,000+ square foot distribution facility in Hawthorne, New York, several projects for a pharmaceutical company in Branchburg, New Jersey.
